2 FULL 78-minute discs (over 2.5 hours of music)
Led by Texas mantra musicians Randall and Kristin Brooks, the Bhakti House Band presents an East-meets-West fusion of percussion-driven instrumentation, rich harmonies, Sanskrit mantra and kirtan, and inspirational English lyrics with the intention of creating a sacred space for listeners to surrender their minds to the rhythmic groove of the heart.
Akasha Blue Sky is the harmonious sound of two souls’ dharma (divine purpose) merging into one… the birth of a lifelong dream filled with possibility, peace, and purpose. Our intention is to use music and sacred mantra to encourage all of us to live and act from the heart--to focus on what will unite humanity rather than separate...
"Beyond political divition, race, and religion, join in the vision, now on a mission of love, peace, and harmony." ~Bailee Brooks of Peace Love OM Project, age 11.
Proceeds benefit the Peace Love OM Project:
“The chief aim of the Peace Love OM Project is to provide opportunities that inspire, educate, and enable the youth of this planet to engage their "TAGS" (Talents, Abilities, and Gifts in Seva, or loving service) to raise cultural and communal awareness as well as promote the celebration of love, peace, and harmony within the diversity of humanity.”
More about Randall & Kristin Brooks:
Named one of Origin Magazine’s Inspiring Community Leaders in 2012 and one of its Favorite Couples Working Together to Shift the Planet in 2013, Randall and Kristin passionately believe it is every human’s responsibility to use their talents, abilities, and gifts to serve and uplift humanity. Their non-profit organization, the Peace Love OM Project, reaches out to children of all ages to provide projects that allow them to do just that. Also noteworthy is the captivating title track of their recently released second album, Akasha Blue Sky. The piece is a collaboration of 18 children from various cultures and traditions singing for "Love, Peace, and Harmony". This inspiring song has quickly garnered attention from philanthropists and peace organizations all over the world.
Since the 2011 release of their first award-winning album, Nada Bhakti: The Sound of Devotion, they have gained thousands of loyal fans in more than 52 countries. This worldwide support inspired two new releases in 2014: Akasha Blue Sky, benefiting their non-profit, the Peace Love Om Project; and the first volume of their new mantra sound meditation series, Sounds of the Sun Volume 1: Gayatri Mantra, all available on iTunes and Amazon.
